. The Board of Directors oversee all governance, policy implementation, fiscal control and financial development of the YMCA and currently has 23 directors. YMCA Executive Director Jim Lawler stated, “We are thrilled to have such high-caliber individuals to form a strong nucleus to direct the future of the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA.” Currently the members of the YMCA Board of Directors are Tom Anthoine III, Larry Baril, Jim Bouchles, Ann Crispin, Mary Curtis, Richard DuBois, Randy Dustin, Tom Fournier, Alan Hahnel, Bonnie Hayes, Richard Kendall, Fern Masse, Dan Moreno, Sheila Morrison, Steve Myers, Verne Paradie, Jr., Malcolm Philbrook, Kelly Shaw, Beth Shea, Mike Spaulding, Sue Sturgis, and Pennell Woodard. The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA serves thousands of local individuals and families. In addition to being the country’s largest childcare provider, YMCAs provide health and fitness programs, youth sports, aquatics, summer day camp, a teen center and community development as an integral part of their mission. Y programs emphasize preventative healthcare while encouraging healthy lifestyles.
